Memorial Hospital listed among nation’s top 100

Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington has been named one of the top 100 hospitals in the nation in an annual ranking compiled by Truven Health Analytics.

The 2014 list, which was released last week, groups hospitals in five categories, including major teaching hospital; teaching hospital; and small, medium and large community hospitals.

Memorial Hospital is included among the 20 top small community hospitals.

Truven uses only public data sources for calculating study metrics. At the heart of the research is a scorecard, which is comprised of equally weighted measures of key organizational functions and outcomes — financial stability, operational efficiency, patient safety, quality inpatient and outpatient care, and customer perception of care, according to Truven.

A full story on the recognition for Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington will appear in the March 13 print edition of the Burlington Standard Press.

  1. This is one of the most stupidist thing that I know of. Who DO you think is going to get all the partys and back pats, supervisiors that do nothing about patient care, and directors that do nothing about care. Are they great because they make money by cutting staff, or they dress nice? Lets give the credit to the Nurses and Doctors that put up with familys that are sad ,and the Nurses that bend over back to help. NOT THE MANAGEMENT!!!!!!
