Local woman arrested in burglaries

Sheriff’s officials recover ‘large amount’ of stolen property

The Racine County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a 30-year-old Burlington woman in connected with a residential burglary that occurred in the Town of Burlington Thursday.

In the course of the investigation, sheriff’s officials said in a press release issued Friday evening, they recovered a “large amount” of stolen property and other evidence.

Deputies and investigators responded to the burglary report, and in the course of their investigation developed a suspect, which led them eventually to the stolen property, the release said.

The woman has not been named and has not yet been formally charged with a crime. The soonest that could occur is Monday when Racine County Circuit Court is in session.
