Dangerous cold, wind close schools

Burlington Area School District schools are closed Monday, Jan. 27, due to dangerously cold windchills and blowing snow that has impacted area roads.
Superintendent Peter Smet said in an auotomated phone message sent to parents about 5 a.m. Monday that officials would determine later in the day whether to close schools for Tuesday.
The Nation Weather Service has issued a windchill advisory that will become a warning at 9 p.m. Monday night and last until noon Tuesday. Temperatures are expected to remain below zero during this period.
Today is the third time this winter BASD schools have Bern closed due to cold.
