A Burlington man is in stable condition Tuesday after a fall off an area bridge late Aug. 29.

According to the Walworth County Sheriff’s Department, Michael Biedrzycki, 28, was sitting on the bridge at Spring Valley Road at the Highway 11 bypass at about 11:30 p.m., talking with his girlfriend.

Walworth County Sheriff’s Capt. Scott McClory said Tuesday that details were sparse, but Biedrzycki told emergency personnel that he fell off the bridge, and landed in the median below.

McClory said Biedrzycki was first transported by Lyons Rescue to Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington and then was taken by Paratech Ambulance to a “Milwaukee-area hospital.”

A patient information official at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa said Tuesday that Biedrzycki remained a patient at the hospital, and was in stable condition.

There was no further information available on his condition, or if any other factors contributed to the fall.

The call initially came into the Racine County dispatch center as a report that someone jumped off the bridge, according to the Racine County Scanner – a Facebook page that posts reports on dispatches from the Racine County Sheriff’s department.
