The Town of Burlington will hold a pair of budget review sessions next week.

The first meeting is Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., with a second meeting scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Both are working sessions for the board for the 2013 operating budget. Emergency government, marine law enforcement division, municipal court, highway department and the town budget will be reviewed on Tuesday, with the town fire and police departments and the budget on the agenda for Wednesday.

The Town of Burlington has operated without a tax rate increase for the past five years, and that appears to be this year’s goal as well.

“I intend to put forth a sixth,” said board member Tyson Fettes. “Because of the changes we’ve made with the police department as well as some other projects … we’re able to realize savings.”
