The City of Burlington alerted the public earlier today about the empty lot at the corner of Dodge and Chestnut being closed for parking, effective immediately.
The city-owned lot at Dodge and Chestnut Streets, adjacent the parking structure, has been used for overflow parking. However, environmental testing on the site starts next week, with the aim of remediating it for potential future development.
City staff reminded the public that there is “sufficient parking” available in the parking structure.
