While the City of Burlington Common Council approved the certified survey map for a new retail development on Milwaukee Avenue last week, at least one tenant for the building was confirmed.
Leslie Scherrer Pella of PSG Inc. – formerly The Peter Scherrer Group – said following the meeting that one of the first four tenants in the building will be a “national physical therapy group” that doesn’t want to be named yet.
Scherrer said that she understands the curiosity surrounding the development, but the tenants she is negotiating with either don’t want the information public yet or don’t want her releasing the names.
“I haven’t heard any speculation,” Scherrer said Tuesday night, on hand for the approval, which happened under the previous council before new members were sworn in.
The previous council suspended the rules in order to approve the motion, and then swore in new Mayor Jeannie Hefty and the aldermen – all four of whom were already on the council and had run unopposed.
