Fresh coat of paint: Love, Inc. ready to open after remodel

There’s a new look to the inside of the Love, Inc. thrift store in Burlington.

Right now, it’s sporting several new layers of paint – and virtually nothing for sale.

While the store clears out its inventory annual, every 4-5 it also remodels the inside of the store. Following a free giveaway of the remaining clothes in the store through noon last week, the store closed for the week to paint and reorganize.

“They did well,” said Tami House, the head of retail operations with Love Inc. “We cleaned out.”

It will reopen at 9 a.m. today.

All other services – including the food pantry and the Love, Inc. offices – remained open, as are the kids’ store, the furniture store and the book store.

In addition to restocking the store with spring and summer materials, House added that they are focusing on showing people how to repurpose old items.

Among the new items to be on display at the store is a clock made of old tools.
