Cell phone store robbed at gunpoint

A Burlington cell phone store was robbed Monday afternoon.

According to a press release, City of Burlington police responded to an armed robbery at about 12:10 p.m. at Cellular Connection, 1709 S. Teut Road. The suspect reportedly entered the store, and threatened employees with a semi-automatic handgun. They handed over numerous cell phones of various makes and models.

No employees or customers were injured, and the suspect is described as a black male, 5 feet, 10 inches with a slender build, wearing red sweat pants, a black sweatshirt and a mask covering the lower part of his face.

    • Not to mention the built-in tracking device in each phone. Duhhh, this dude is such a moron! lol I sure hope it was worth it.

    Had I or one of my CCW friends been there, the situation may have turned out differently.

    • When you have a gun pointed at the back of your head and you have a sales associate and two other customers as well as your own life to consider you think differently about what you would do, trust me on that one. It happened incredibly to fast for us to do anything other then give him what he wanted to ensure the safety of everyone in my store.
