Waterford’s Fall Harvest Fest is Oct. 14

Hop a complimentary trolley, take a canoe ride or lei-surely stroll around to sample the vendor wares, fun activities and good eats at the upcoming Fall Harvest Fest in Waterford.

Enjoy festival offerings and a chicken dinner

Enjoy the fall colors, scents, and sounds of the season at the Waterford Fall Harvest Fest on Sunday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Whitford Park (730 N. River Road) and Ten Club Park (next door to 101 E. Main St. on First Street).

Crafters and vendors will be located in Ten Club and Whitford parks displaying their wares for purchase. A trolley will transport people between both park locations, with a stop in downtown Waterford to shop the local establishments.

But – if the weather is typical of a nice autumn day – many may instead wish to jump in a canoe (nominal fee applies) at Ten Club Park and be paddled down the Fox River, where they can peruse a Native American Cultural Exhibition, Home Depot Kids Workshop, pumpkin painting, pumpkin bowling, scarecrow making, cookie decorating, mining for treasures, cookie decorating, and more. A nominal fee applies to activities.

In addition to kids activities and vendors at Whitford Park, enjoy the Lion’s Club Chicken barbecue from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the Lioness Bake Sale, which starts at 11 a.m. inside the community building at Whitford Park.

The Fest’s annual Tractorcade Parade will also be leaving Whitford Park at 9:30am.

Everyone is welcome to enter apie-eating contest for a chance to win cash prizes. Or, bring your best down-home chili to the great chili cook off with cash prizes available.

Registration forms for these contests are on the Waterford Chamber’s website at www.waterford-wi.org. Only 12 spots are open for each contest, so register early.

Donations of children’s pants and long-sleeve shirts for scarecrow making are desperately needed. Volunteers are also needed for 2-hour shifts.

If anyone is interested in sponsoring a kids’ activity or volunteering, please contact Jennifer at the Chamber office, (262) 534-5911, weekdays.
