With all precincts in Racine County reported, U.S. Senate candidate Tommy Thompson appeared to have edged out Eric Hovde as of 11:30 p.m.
Thompson had 6,352 votes, or 29.81 percent of the vote, while Hovde had 6,246 votes, or 29.31 percent.
The other two candidates – Mark Neumann and Jeff Fitzgerald were trailing at 22 and 17.5 percent, respectively.
