KENNETH C. JONES

Kenneth C. Jones of Cedar Grove passed away at home on Nov. 13, 2024. He was 40 years old.

Ken was born in Burlington on March 17, 1984, to Keith and Suzanne (Grimm) Jones. He graduated from Burlington High School with the class of 2002.

After graduation he attended Universal Technical Institute obtaining his Associate of Occupational Studies Degree in Automotive, Diesel and Industrial Technology in 2004, which launched his career as a mechanic. He was an ASE Certified Master Automobile and Truck Technician.

Ken was a man of many talents. From singing in barbershop quartets and many choirs to playing brass instruments, he had a deep love for music. In high school, he showcased his musical abilities in the marching band and drum corps including Capital Sound from Madison. He also enjoyed his time singing barbershop as a part of the Minneapolis Commadores and HHT A Capella in Plymouth.

Ken was a true car connoisseur and could fix almost anything from racecars to collector cars to anything else with a motor. He was a firm believer that real cars have three pedals. Despite his gruff exterior and his shtick like he didn’t care, he loved all animals, especially his cats, reading books and loved a cheesy Christmas movie.

Working for the Minneapolis Parks Department was one of Ken’s proudest achievements. After relocating to Cedar Grove, he showcased his mechanical skills working at Vogel Chevrolet and later Grube’s Towing & Repair. Taking his experience and expertise, he recently started his own business, becoming a MATCO Tools Distributer.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Keith (Casey) Jones and Suzanne Jones, his sister Tina (Gary) Jacoby and his niece and goddaughter Sophia Jacoby all of Random Lake. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, family and many friends.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Please check back for service information.
