Library announces upcoming happenings

Graham Public Library, 1215 Main St., Union Grove, will have a family book discussion Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 6:30 p.m. “Niagara Falls or Does it?” by Henry Winkler and Lon Oliver is perfect for children in grades 3-5 and can be placed on hold by calling 878-2910.

• Wisconsin author Jerry Apps will make two appearances Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 1:30 and 6:30 p.m. At 1:30 Apps will discuss “Horse Drawn Days.” Be sure to stop back at 6:30 p.m., when he discusses “How Wisconsin became a Cheese State.” Both events are free to the public and do not require registration.

• Kids Painting with Lucky (Cable) Saturday, Oct. 1, at 1:30 p.m., the library is offering children’s painting with Lucky LaMeer. Just bring in a clean jar and paint a ghost, cat or pumpkin in time to decorate for Halloween. The cost is $10 per child. Pre-registration is required, payment is due at registration.

• PR Lap Sit begins at the library on Thursdays at 9:30 a.m., Oct. 6, 13, 20, 27. Join Librarian Pat for songs, books and finger plays. Lap sit is for pre-walkers and a parent/caregiver. In-person registration is required. For more details call 878-2910.

• Craft/cookbook exchange. The library will accept craft/cookbooks for the annual exchange. Bring in your gently used craft/cookbooks until Oct. 21. Receive a coupon for a new-to-you craft/cookbook to be redeemed on Saturday, Oct. 22, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Note: for every book donated you will receive a coupon. We are limiting our exchange to books only, no magazines or pamphlets.
