LINDA L. POTTER

      Linda L. Potter, 73, of Lyons, passed away Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022, at Burlington Aurora Hospital.

Linda was born Aug. 24, 1948 to Virgil and Caroline (nee Baker) Jahns in Burlington. Her early life was spent in the Burlington area where she graduated from Burlington High School. On July 4, 1981, she was united in marriage to John R. Potter at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lyons. Following their marriage, they resided in Lyons where they raised their family.

Linda had previously worked for Brunk Industries and PFI Fashions. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lyons. She was gifted and enjoyed quilting, diamond art, genealogy and any type of crafting or woodworking with her husband. But more than anything she treasured the time she spent with her family. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her.

Linda is survived by her husband John; children, Gena (Dave) Quaid, Geri (David) Henningfield, and Gayle (Richard) Hoege, Glenda Robers; dogs Jasper, Piper, Tank, and Dottie; and grandchildren, Kalena and Quintin Quaid, Gracelyn, Olivia, Emma, and Sarah Henningfield, Hannah (Kyle) Lundberg, C1C Josiah, Airman Isaiah and Jedidiah Hoege. She is further survived by her siblings, Donna (John) Hopkins, Ronald (Debby) Jahns, John (Donna) Jahns, Chris (Jerry) Kleopfer and Dale (Alta) Jahns; siblings-in-law, Diane Jahns, Sonny Fowler, Patty (Mickey) Fowler, Susie Sheppard, Phil Potter, Gordy Potter, Bonnie Schmidt, Julie Olson, Charlotte Potter, Larry (Tina) Potter, Mark (Jill) Potter, and Kenny Potter; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Kenneth Jahns, sister Barbara (Billy) Grisham, parents-in-law Cliff (Audrey nee Hewitt) Potter, and siblings-in-law, Lois Fowler, Duaine Schmidt, Duane Olson, Howard Potter and August “Augie” Potter.

A visitation and Memorial Service will be held at a later date
