EDMUND JOSEPH ROSCHYK JR

Edmund Joseph Roschyk, Jr. passed peacefully on Sept. 18, 2022, at the age of 82 in Tucson, Arizona. Edmund was born May 9, 1940, in Menominee Township, Michigan, to Edmund W. and Annabel (Corrigan) Roschyk.

Edmund was a man of “love.” He loved serving his country in the United States Air Force and was forever a proud Veteran. He loved his wife, Jean Ellen (Kuhn) Roschyk celebrating their 57th wedding anniversary in July 2022. He was a dedicated father to sons, Jeffrey and Bradley; and a father figure to so many others. He was known to most as Mr. Ed or Uncle Ed.

Edmund retired after 40 years with his employer Grove Gear of the Regal Beloit Corporation in Union Grove.

Throughout his life, Edmund spent countless hours learning new things and taking what he learned to create new tools, new gears, and new procedures for anything he thought could be more efficient. He was a fixer of things and spent countless hours rebuilding cars, remodeling houses, collecting tools and most importantly listening and giving fruitful advice to those that needed it and those that did not want to hear it!

Edmund is survived by wife, Jean Ellen (Kuhn) Roschyk; sons, Jeffrey (Maggie) Roschyk and Bradley (Jesse) Roschyk; granddaughter Miranda Roschyk; brothers, Joseph (Sally) Roschyk, Raymond Roschyk, and Stephen (Cathy) Roschyk, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Edmund was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Helen Rowley, Theresa LaDuke, and Dianne Behymer; grandchild Rebecca Roschyk and nephew Matthew Roschyk.

Edmund will be interned at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Veteran’s Day, Friday, Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. A Memorial Mass and Celebration of Life is planned for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022, at St. Robert’s Bellarmine Catholic Church, 3320 S Colony Ave, Union Grove. A reception will follow starting at 1 p.m. at the 1175 Sports Park & Eatery, 22840 Durand Avenue, Kansasville.

The family would like to express a very special thank you to the Nursing Team in the ICU at Oro Valley Hospital, Oro Valley, Arizona, and Casa De Luz Hospice at The Hacienda in Tucson, Arizona, for their care and service to Edmund in his final hours.
