CONNIE J. SCHWEITZER

      Connie J. Schweitzer, 75, passed away Jan. 8, 2022.

Connie was born Sept. 27, 1946 to Henry and Myrtle (Henningfeld) Tuinstra. She grew up in Franksville. She attend Waterford High School, where she met the love of her life Gerald “Jerry” Schweitzer. After receiving her GED, Connie went on to Cosmetology School. She worked as a hairdresser for a few years, earning the position of family beautician for her sisters and other relatives. Connie married Jerry on May 3, 1962 and they shared over 50 years together. They loved to travel and have fun, going on many adventures across the country with various family and friends. They loved to golf, play games, and hit the casino.

Connie always called it as she saw it. You never had to worry where you stood with her, cause she would tell you. She was genuine and a great listener, often the confidant for her sisters and friends. She loved syfy and murder mystery movies and books, and the game show network. She was very social and had many friends. She loved her Tuesday Morning Breakfast Club and family dinner nights. She liked to crochet, garden, and loved to gamble whether playing the slots in the casino or rolling dice with close family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother; always going above and beyond taking phenomenal care of all her loved ones.

Connie will be dearly missed by her beloved sons Randy Schweitzer and Adam (Cindi) Schweitzer; her adoring grandchildren Brooke Schweitzer and Thor Schweitzer; her sisters Margie Zeiler, Bonnie Lofgren, Jeanne (Kenny) Zeisse, Jane (Tom) Arndt, Joan (Vic) Villareal; and her in-laws Mary (Lenny) Anderson, Steve (Kim) Schweitzer, Roger DeMoulpied, and Barb Schweitzer. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other extended family members, friends, and her life long best friend Evie Mack.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband Jerry; her parents Henry and Myrtle; her parents-in-law Milton and Rita Schweitzer; sister Lillie Mae DeMoulpied; brothers-in-law John Zeiler, Rick Lofgren, Doug Schweitzer, and Curt Schweitzer; sister-in-law Julie Schweitzer; nieces Jenna Villareal and Becky Mercurio; and nephew Michael Anderson.

A celebration of Connie’s life will take place on Friday Jan. 28, 2022 at Integrity Celebrations Center. In honor of Connie’s love for Friday Night Fish Fry, there will be an open house to visit, share stories, eat and drink from 3 to 5 p.m.
