AURORA PHOENIX BARRIOS

Aurora Phoenix Barrios passed peacefully in the arms of her loving parents on March 30, 2022. She was born, already enveloped in love, to Jose and Angela (nee Bauer) Barrios at 1:13 p.m. and received her angel wings just an hour later. Aurora showed tremendous strength and perseverance prenatally, and at birth, she greeted the world with eyes wide open and her own sweet melody. She flourished in every moment she had on Earth, leaving her family with such gratitude and appreciation – for even the very tiny can impact us in the most profound ways. Her life, while brief, was a precious gift of tremendous love that will be treasured forever by so many.

Aurora will forever remain in the hearts of her parents; sisters Kayla Braunschweig and Athena Barrios; nephew Jaylen Bauer; grandparents Michael and Debra Bauer, Tony and Barbara (Darling) Tsafantakis, and Jose Barrios; aunts and uncles Sheila Bauer, Glen Bauer, Tony (Ashley) Barrios and Jesse (Samantha) Barrios; as well as countless other family members and friends.

Shortly after being baptized by a close family friend, Aurora was welcomed home to Heaven by her aunt Sherie Bauer, grandpa Marty Darling, and many others.

An open house memorial luncheon will be held on April 23, 2022 at Integrity Funeral Services, 2789 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington, from noon until 2:45 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m.

The family would like to thank everyone who supported them on their journey of love to meet Aurora. Every act of kindness was greatly appreciated. A special thanks to Dr. Epperson and Dr. Kuhlmann from Waukesha Memorial Hospital, and to Maura and the Fetal Concerns Center at Children’s Hospital, for their guidance, consideration and care throughout an especially difficult prenatal journey. Additionally, a huge thanks to Kara from Kara Reece Photography and the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep organization for taking the most beautiful photos that will provide the family with happy memories of their beautiful Aurora Phoenix forever.

“There is no foot too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world.”
