GERALD E. PIRK SR

Gerald (Jerry) E. Pirk Sr, 70, of Burlington, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021.

Jerry was born to Leslie and Marian (Normolle) Pirk on Nov. 28, 1950. After graduating from Burlington High School, he joined the Marine Corps, where he served his country for six years. He then worked as an auto mechanic for many years before pursuing a career in finance. He retired from Waste Management in Phoenix, Ariz. He was always very competitive and enjoyed playing in pool, bowling and dart leagues. Despite living the latter part of his life outside Wisconsin, he remained a home team fan and always made time to watch the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers games.

Jerry is survived by his two children, son Jerry (Jill) Pirk, and daughter Angela (Chris) Kinyon-Loewen; brother Les Pirk, sister Sharon Wagner, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Don Pirk, and sister Sandra Lui.

A special thank you to Lindsay Jackson for the loving care that she provided for the last several years.

A private memorial service to celebrate Jerry’s life will be held at the Pirk farm in Hixton.
