CHARLES A. COLLISON

      Charles A. Collison, 73, of Browns Lake, passed away Friday, Oct. 8, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Charles was born in Milwaukee on Sept. 25, 1948, to Charles and Rose (nee Feedar) Collison. His early life was spent in Milwaukee, where he graduated from South Milwaukee High School. On April 22, 1967 in Milwaukee, he was united in marriage to Maryan Kridler. Following marriage, they resided in Milwaukee, South Milwaukee, Oak Creek, Wheatland and Burlington.

Charles worked for Sentry Foods in Racine as a produce manager for 18 years. He later worked for Foster Forbes Glass Factory until retiring at age 65. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and was very strong in his faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, the outdoors and cutting his yard on the tractor. He also liked to play bass in his family band. He especially loved playing with his great-granddaughter Ana “Little Shit”.

Charles is survived by Maryan, his wife of 54 years; daughter, Janet Sandberg; grandchildren, Julia and Brett; great-granddaughter, Anastazja “Ana”; siblings, Lori (Doug) Erickson, Rosemarie Niezgoda, Lilly (Mike) Engel, Ike (Mary) Hubbard, Penny Hubbard, Jean Cauble and Doris Hubbard; sisters-in-law, Arlene (Bill) Deyarnman and Kathleen Rutley; nieces and nephews, Danielle (Steve) Storm, Kim (Jerris) Vandenberg, Mark Hubbard, Paul Hubbard, Tyler Hubbard, Deborah Tjernberg, Donald Zebrowski, Michael (Lynn) Rutley, Robert Rutley, Richard (Ericka) Rutley, Kevin (Renee) Ponik and John Ponik; great-nieces and nephews, Madelyn Storm, Marcus Storm, Aiden Engel, Allyson Vandenberg, Thomas Vandenberg, Jenna Rutley, Matthew Rutley, Maddax Lamp, Kiah Rutley, Kristen and Harris Ponik. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Marty McDonald, Christine Neadow, Kathy Collison and Cindy Silkworth.

The family would like to thank Dr. Presberg, Dr. Kolnowski, Dr. Tajik and Michelle Bush for their care and compassion during this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church.

Funeral Service for Charles will be held on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Burlington Cemetery. Relatives and friends can visit with the family on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021 at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Thursday at the church from 10 until 10:45 a.m.
