BECKY JO ANN TAYLOR

Becky Jo Ann Taylor, 61, of Burlington, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021 at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa.

Becky Jo was born in Burlington on January 7, 1960, to Richard and Alice (nee Kiekenbush) Klasen. She graduated from Burlington High School and was a lifelong resident of Burlington. On Sept. 17, 1983 at St. Mary Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Henry “Hank” Taylor Jr. He preceded her in death on June 21, 2000.

Right after high school, Becky Jo worked as a nurse’s aide for Mt. Carmel Nursing Home in Burlington. She enjoyed reading, playing cards and sunbathing. Becky was a very caring person. Her family was very important to her.

Becky Jo is survived by her mother, Alice Joyce; father and step-mother, Richard and Betty Klasen; son, Jacob “Jake” Taylor; sister, Karen Petersen; brother, Scott Klasen; step-siblings, Daniel Sandiford, William Sandiford and Kelly Klein; along with many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hank; son, Justin; step-father, Richard “Dick” Joyce; brother-in-law, Robert “Bob” Petersen; and step-sister, Dawn Klein.

The family would like to thank the staff at Aurora Zilber Hospice for their care and compassion during this very difficult time. The family would also like to thank the staff and residents at Wanda Frogg Villa in Burlington, where Becky resided for the past several years.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or Shriner’s Hospital, Chicago, Illinois.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022 at noon at St. Mary Catholic Church in Burlington. Relatives and friends can visit with the family on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022 at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home from 10 until 11:30 a.m. A celebration of the life of Becky Jo will take place immediately following mass at the Integrity Celebration Center, 2789 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington.
