BERTHA M. GILL


Bertha M. Gill, 91, Burlington, died Nov. 13, 2011, at her residence. She was born June 27, 1920, in Salem, to the late Walter Rendell and Mary (Truan) Peterson. She spent her early life and received her education in Salem.

She married Donald A. Gill Nov. 6, 1940, in Kenosha. Following marriage they made their home in Burlington. He preceded her in death on April 22, 1992.

She retired from Foster Forbes where she worked on the line. She loved baking, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters, Shirley (Robert) Browning, Pewaukee, Mary Moody, Burlington; grandchildren, Charles (Renee) Browning, Deborah (Lynn) Kufalk, Brenda (John Rectenwald) Browning, Andrew Browning, Alan Browning, Patricia (Patrick Grenier) Chilcoat, Kathy (Richard) North, Jerry (Sue) Chilcoat, and Rose (Brad) Krueger; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Eugene Rendell, Chandler, Ariz.; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

She was further preceded in death by a brother, Charles Rendell; sons-in-law, Robert Moody and Forrest Chilcoat.

Graveside services are Saturday, Nov. 19, at 10 a.m., at Burlington Cemetery. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, is assisting the family.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Krismer and the Aurora Hospice, Tammy, Jeanne, Connie and Chris, for all their care and compassion.
