Burlington

In this week’s Standard Press…

City of Burlington officials heard directly from the public Tuesday on their views for the future of the Echo Lake dam.

The informational meeting was the first of two intended to give officials a better indication of the public’s desire concerning options to improve or remove the dam.

Residents who spoke Tuesday leaned toward improving the dam to retain Echo Lake.

A report on the meeting is among the top stories in this week’s edition of the Burlington Standard Press. The newspaper will be on sale at local retail outlets on Thursday and subscribers will receive their copies with Thursday’s mail.
