In this week’s Standard Press…

When COVID-19 shut down most activities in the summer of 2020, the Burlington Community Aquatic Center was one of the few community pools to open in the area.

Still, with reduced attendance, people worried what impact the restricted season would have on the non-profit operation’s bottom line.

The good news is that 2021 turned out to be a banner season as hot days and pent up desire for recreation pushed the facility to an attendance record.

The 2021 season at the Aquatic Center is among the top stories in this week’s edition of the Burlington Standard Press. The newspaper will be available at local retail outlets on Thursday and subscribers will receive their copies with Thursday’s mail.
