Burlington

In this week’s Standard Press…

On it’s face, a proposal to conduct regular inspections of rental properties in the City of Burlington sounds beneficial.

But, as Alderman Shad Branen pointed out at a recent meeting, such regulations have pitfalls. In this case Branen said he fears the proposed program would infringe on the privacy of both landlords and tenants.

A story on the discussion about proposal now under consideration by the Common Council is among the top stories in this week’s edition of the Burlington Standard Press.

Copies of the newspaper will be on sale at local retail outlets on Thursday and subscribers will receive their copies with Thursday mail.
