Mark Dudzik EDITOR
It will be a night of music and Merlot Thursday, July 1 as the Friends of the Waterford Library host one of their biggest fundraisers of the year.
Tickets are on sale now for the organization's third annual Wine Tasting Party that will take place prior to that evening's River Rhythms concert along the banks of the Fox River.
Library Director Pam Belden said that last year's event brought in nearly $1,900, with 130 people attending from the Waterford area to Wind Point.
In addition to the various wines that will be available for tasting, a full spread of hors d'oeuvres will be available for sampling.
Also available during the event will be various chocolates from Indulgence Chocolatiers of Racine that will be carefully selected to complement the wines that will be available during the event.
Tickets to the event are $25 and can be purchased either at the library or at the event. The wine tasting begins at 5:30 p.m.
Those seeking more information about the event can call 534-3988.
